MD4C is used for reporting purpose as its a multilevel order report. Based on selection profile you can have order report for sales order, production order , project etc. whereas CO41 is a mass processing transaction used to convert multiple planned orders to production orders.
Both the transactions are meant for different purpose all together and as explained by experts in above replies, you just can not directly compare them.
