SCN already made quite a step in direction FB with the migration two years ago, causing many grievances from long-term members. While I appreciate many of the new features, I think we should not progress further in that direction.
In my - maybe special - case, my personal environment couldn't care less about what I'm doing on SCN all the time. My wife would probably suggest spending (even more) time with the kids instead 
You could create a personal blog and link some of your favorite SCN items there. This could even be converted to a PDF...
